Privacy policy

Last updated: 2026-08-26

Good Days Dog Club (operated by KLH Ventures — Katherine Louise Herbert, ABN 59 172 828 003) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

We comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and honour applicable privacy rights of our customers, including US state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) where they apply.

What information we collect

When you place an order or browse our store, we may collect:

  • Contact information — name, email address, phone number
  • Delivery information — shipping address
  • Payment information — processed securely by our payment provider. We do not store your card details.
  • Order history — what you've purchased and when
  • Browsing data — pages visited, time on site, device type (collected via cookies)

How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Process and fulfil your orders (printing, packing, shipping)
  • Send you order confirmations and shipping updates
  • Respond to your questions and support requests
  • Send you marketing emails if you've opted in (unsubscribe any time)
  • Improve our website and designs
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share your information with

To run the store, we share information with trusted partners only as needed:

  • Shopify — our ecommerce platform. Shopify's Privacy Policy
  • Printify & its print providers — to print and fulfil your order (name + shipping address only). Printify's Privacy Policy
  • Shipping carriers — to deliver your order (name and address only)
  • Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — for advertising, using aggregated or anonymised signals only
  • Email marketing provider — if you've subscribed

All partners are required to handle your data securely and lawfully.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep your cart and session active, understand how visitors use our site (analytics), and show you relevant ads on other platforms (advertising cookies). You can disable cookies in your browser; doing so may affect parts of the site such as checkout.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your information (subject to legal requirements), and to opt out of marketing at any time via the unsubscribe link. California residents may request the categories of data we hold, request deletion, and opt out of any "sale" of personal information (we don't sell it).

Photos you upload for personalised products

When you order a personalised product, you upload a photo of your dog. Here's exactly what happens to it:

  • What we use it for. Creating your artwork — nothing else. We don't use your photo for marketing or model training, and we never sell or share it for advertising.
  • AI processing. Your photo is processed by artificial intelligence to check it's suitable (one dog, clear enough to work from) and to generate the artwork printed on your product. This processing uses Google's Gemini API as a service provider, so your photo is sent to Google for that processing.
  • Where it lives. Your upload is stored on our store's content system (Shopify) and in a private working folder while we prepare your order.
  • How long we keep it. Working copies are deleted once your order ships. Your uploaded photo and the final print file are deleted 60 days after delivery — kept that long only so we can honour our fault guarantee and redo your artwork if something isn't right.
  • Deleting it sooner. Email us any time and we'll delete your photo and artwork ahead of schedule (once your order has shipped).
  • What not to upload. Please only upload photos of your own dog. Don't upload photos that include people, and don't upload images you don't have the rights to.

Data retention

We retain order and customer information for 7 years in accordance with Australian taxation law. Marketing data is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
